Live Music
Our 2026 Market is WEEKLY this Sunday on South King Street, Shepherdstown, from 9am–1pm.

First of the corn is here! And tomatoes are starting this weekend!! Also, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, beets, kale, lettuce, and garlic cloves. Many farms grow year-round in hoop houses.

We accept SNAP EBT cards. We can double or triple your withdrawal up to $30. Stop by the Peace in the Valley Herb Farm stand and talk to Cindy for more information.

Loaf & Lantern Bakery

At Loaf & Lantern Bakery, our focaccia starts with an enriched flour that develops deep flavors and a light, airy crust. Before baking, each loaf is gently dimpled by hand, drizzled with fragrant olive oil, and finished off with our carefully chosen flavors. The result is a crisp, golden crust that’s hard to resist.

Whether you’re enjoying it alongside a bowl of soup, building the perfect sandwich, or simply tearing off a warm piece to dip in oil, focaccia has a way of making everyday moments feel a little more special.

Shepherd’s Whey Creamery

Shepherd’s Whey artisan goat milk cheeses for this coming weekend:

Chevre: Seasonal Chevre – our July variety, “Baba Ghanoush,” will be available at market this weekend. I get asked for this seasonal chevre all year. We sauté diced eggplant in olive oil with garlic and then blend that into our chevre with fresh parsley and lemon. Come by our tent for a sample!

Routine Chevres: Basil, Black Pepper and Classic

Feta: Greek style Feta in quarter or half pound portions in the brine, aged in brine 2 months. First Place Feta at the 2019 ADGA National Goat Cheese competition.

Bloomie Rinds:

Napoleon’s Peak – our Pyramid shaped ashed bloomy (my personal favorite of all our cheeses).

Snow Buttons – a cute little 1/4 pound patty of ashed bloomy.

Classic Camembert – a wheel of ooey gooey goodness.

Fresh Ricotta – made fresh each Friday available in 1/3 pound tubs.

Aged Semi-hard cheeses: This week we will have:

Shenandoah Summer – this is the closest cheese we have to a Gouda – a bit sharper and firmer than your typical Gouda. Aged 12 months. Melts well.

Alpsiago – this Alpine style cheese has been living her best life in our underground aging caves for 14 months. This is the first batch of 2025 – lovely texture, bits of sharp flavor crystals, a great snacking cheese.

Winter’s End – this tomme is steeped in a local dark stout beer at the time of hooping. The beer gives the cheese a slightly darker color and it ripens with a sharper parmesany flavor. These wheels have been aging in our underground aging caves for 11 months.

Goatgurt – a spoonable cultured treat with live active yogurt cultures.

Goatgurt Smoothies: A gut healthy drinkable yogurt available in Strawberry, Apple Cinnamon and Vanilla.
