Shepherd’s Whey Creamery
Shepherd’s Whey artisan goat milk cheeses for this coming weekend:
Chevre: Seasonal Chevre: “Tomatoe Basil” is our seasonal for August. We use finely diced sundried tomatoes marinated in olive oil and Italian herbs and blend into our chevre with fresh basil (Thank you Chicano Sol for your lovely basil this week!) This aromatic seasonal chevre is Italy on a spoon. Come by our tent for a sample!
Routine Chevres: Basil, Black Pepper and Classic
Feta: Greek style Feta in quarter or half pound portions in the brine, aged in brine 2 months. First Place Feta at the 2019 ADGA National Goat Cheese competition.
Bloomie Rinds:
Napoleon’s Peak – our Pyramid shaped ashed bloomy (my personal favorite of all our cheeses).
Snow Buttons – a cute little 1/4 pound patty of ashed bloomy.
Classic Camembert – a wheel of ooey gooey goodness.
Fresh Ricotta – made fresh each Friday available in 1/3 pound tubs.
Aged Semi-hard cheeses: This week we will have:
Caerphilly – A Welch cheddar – named after the town in Wales that developed this style of cheddar. Aged 11 months.
Crescendo! – This is our take on Manchego – white flesh juxtaposed against the chocolate brown rind makes this a really pretty cheese for your cheese board, aged 11 months.
Alpsiago – This Alpine style cheese has been living her best life in our underground aging caves for a full 14 months. Lovely texture, bits of sharp flavor crystals, great snacking cheese. This wheel was aged 15 months!
Goatgurt – a spoonable cultured treat with live active yogurt cultures.
Goatgurt Smoothies: A gut healthy drinkable yogurt available in Strawberry, Apple Cinnamon and Vanilla.

Pastanauts, JeffOut-of-this-world pasta, down-to-earth ingredients.
Operating out of Martinsburg under local Cottage Food Law, Pastanauts is bringing small-batch, artisanal pasta directly to the community. We specialize exclusively in fresh pasta—never dried—crafted without any preservatives or additives.
What We Offer
Our current lineup features classic cuts including rigatoni, fusilloni, and fettuccine. We are also excited to announce that gluten-free pasta is officially available starting this weekend! Our traditional dough is made with simple, high-quality ingredients: 100% Italian durum wheat semolina, water, and eggs (eggs reserved only for our fettuccine). Because our product is entirely fresh, it prefers to be refrigerated.
Peace in the Valley, Cindy
